On Friday, March 7th, The Coleytown Middle School Chamber Orchestra traveled to Boston along with the Bedford Middle School Chamber Orchestra, to engage in a masterclass workshop with Christine Lee, a cellist in the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Our string players explored the nuances of musical communication, musical character development, and performing with intention and accuracy under the guidance of Ms. Lee! Following the masterclass, they enjoyed the Boston Symphony Orchestra's performance of works by Liadov, Bartok, and Rachmaninoff! They finished the trip with a dinner stop at the historic Faneuil Hall, which houses Boston's Quincy Market!
