CMS eighth-grade Mandarin students enjoyed an enriching cultural field trip that began with a guided tour of the Yale University Art Gallery’s Asian art exhibit. They admired a 1,000-year-old Buddha statue, explored Chinese calligraphy, and compared traditional Chinese porcelain with European pieces. The experience continued with a delicious lunch at Lao Sze Chuan in Milford, where students sampled authentic Chinese cuisine. To wrap up the day, they visited G Mart and selected a variety of Chinese and Asian snacks and treats.
