Our 8th-grade classes recently traveled to New Haven for an exploration of the Yale Peabody Museum, where the abstract concept of geologic time came vividly to life. Students encountered a world of ancient fossils, rare minerals, and life-sized prehistoric creatures that served as a bridge between their textbooks and the tangible history of our planet. This experience was designed to mirror our current science curriculum, allowing students to visualize the massive scale of Earth’s transformation and the evolutionary shifts that have defined the natural world.
