Honest Self-Portait

Sixth grade artists learned about the proportions of the human face, and planned a self-portrait using patterns that they created with marker.  Students were encouraged to "draw with scissors" by creating texture, line and form with their patterned paper.  Students also chose a positive descriptor and drew letters for that word to cut out and display with their self-portrait.
