Sixth grade artists learned about the proportions of the human face, and planned a self-portrait using patterns that they created with marker. Students were encouraged to "draw with scissors" by creating texture, line and form with their patterned paper. Students also chose a positive descriptor and drew letters for that word to cut out and display with their self-portrait.
Grade 6 scientists witnessed chemical and physical change as they interacted with the Plastics Unit, making "elephant toothpaste."
