Seventh graders have been exploring the Order of Operations through fun and interactive math activities. Using whiteboards, students worked together to spot and correct errors while making their thinking visible. These strategies are inspired by the work of Dr. Peter Liljedahl, whose Building Thinking Classrooms research shows that activities like whiteboard problem-solving and group tasks keep students engaged, build persistence, and encourage collaboration while strengthening their understanding of math.
