Health Services

The CMS health office provides developmentally appropriate care to meet the unique needs of our middle school population in grades 6-8. Our health office is designed with a treatment area and a separate isolation room which allows for privacy and confidentiality when needed.

We know that healthy students make better learners and that children and adolescents with unmet health and mental health needs have a difficult time engaging in the educational process. The CMS health office supports student success by providing health care for acute and chronic illnesses through assessment, intervention, and follow-up for all children within the school setting. We also address the physical, mental, emotional, and social health needs of students and work collaboratively with other school staff such as guidance, administration, and psychologists. The CMS health office serves as a liaison between school personnel, family, community and healthcare providers to advocate for healthcare and a healthy school environment.

We can be reached at the CMS health office at 203-341-1630 or through email at cms-nurses@westportps.org between the hours of 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM. If you need to fax the health office the number is 203-341-1633.

In order to increase their comfort with his language and literary techniques, students were interpreting and translating the Masquerade Ball from  Act 1, which will be followed by in-class performances. Students will also have opportunities to modernize scenes from the play to discover text-to-self connections and the Bard's influence on modern literature and performance.
