Counseling services focus on three main aspects of development:

  • Academic - Academic Guidance
  • College and Career - College and career awareness, exploration and planning services
  • Personal/Social - Social, emotional counseling services to students and their families

Components of the Counseling Program

* Classroom Counseling (4-6 times a year) also known as Developmental Guidance
* Individual and small group counseling
* Parent and staff consultation
* Coordination of school-wide programs
* Consultation with outside agencies

How does the child see the counselor?

* Student Support Team & I.E.P.

His story challenges us to reflect on the dangers of hatred and intolerance and to commit ourselves to kindness, courage, and truth in our own lives.

This weekend, CMS competed in the Connecticut Science Olympiad State Tournament, a prestigious STEM competition that challenges students nationwide. Founded in 1984, Science Olympiad hosts 6,300 teams across 425 tournaments in all 50 states. CMS students earned medals in five events: Fossils, Helicopter, Meteorology, Metric Mastery, and Reach for the Stars. Congratulations to all our CMS Science Olympians—we are so proud of your hard work and achievements!
