Events

Counseling services focus on three main aspects of development:

  • Academic - Academic Guidance
  • College and Career - College and career awareness, exploration and planning services
  • Personal/Social - Social, emotional counseling services to students and their families

Components of the Counseling Program

* Classroom Counseling (4-6 times a year) also known as Developmental Guidance
* Individual and small group counseling
* Parent and staff consultation
* Coordination of school-wide programs
* Consultation with outside agencies

How does the child see the counselor?

* Student Support Team & I.E.P.
* Teacher Referral
* Administrative referral
* Parent referral
* Self-referral

Congratulations to the CMS Science Olympiad Club! CMS placed 4th overall, won 1st place in 4 events (Disease Detectives, Optics, Reach for the Stars, and Write it Do it!), won 2nd place in 3 events, and won 3rd place in 5 events. Shout out to our committed students and Mrs. Brewer, a first-year teacher at CMS, for being an advisor and taking this on! Next stop - States!
